Burial

The cemetery is landscaped using native trees and shrubs and each pet has its own plot and engraved plaque.

We have an area especially reserved for cats, so they don’t fight with the dogs. However several cats have been buried alongside their doggy mates by request along with galahs, cockatoos, rabbits and other family members.

The cemetery changes appearance dramatically with the seasons. Spring is the best time to visit as the wildflowers are in their full glory. Summer is naturally the toughest time for vegetation and humans alike.

Lawnswood Pet Cemetery is located approximately an hour’s drive east of Perth in the Avon Valley. If the interest is great enough we are also looking at helping to organize a bus to visit Lawnswood once or twice a year from Perth for those who do not have their own reliable transport.
