In 1984 my parents Eric and Janet Stringer started Lawnswood Pet Cemetery after finding that there was no easily affordable option for pet owners who wanted their family members treated with dignity after death.

When Dad made the decision to retire at the end of 2001, my wife Madeleine and I decided to continue the service. In 2002 we built a new small pet crematorium at Lawnswood and then in 2008 completed a Large Animal / Horse Crematorium.

The service is a full-time job for me with the help of other animal lovers. Madeleine helps out when not looking after our two sons or 'Cookie Monster' the one-eyed, food inhaling Labrador.

Being an animal lover is a prerequisite for working at Lawnswood and we understand only too well what it means to lose a faithful friend.

We hope you won't need us for a long time, but at least you know that there is someone you can trust to help you when the time comes.
